Beautiful vintage Anatolian Soumak area rug with intricate animal motif design. Soumak rugs are painstakingly handmade by wrapping weft threads around the warp threads of a flat-woven kilim rug to create a rich, detailed, slightly raised, embroidery-like design.

CONDITION
Selected for character and history. Irregularities in weaving consistent with a hand woven piece. Edge binding has some wear. Worn/frayed corners. Overall, great vintage condition with no holes, stains or color bleeding.
