1942 U.S. 88B mountain rucksack by Baker Lockwood MFG.

FEATURES

  • heavy canvas webbing shoulder straps w/ metal buckles
  • 3 equipment attachment tabs

  • flap top closure w/ drawstring and buckle straps
  • 3 exterior pouch pockets 
  • Talon zipper pocket on inside of flap closure

Stamped with "Baker Lockwood MFG. CO., Inc.  1942"

CONDITION

Honest vintage wear consistent with age and heavy use. Staining/spotting throughout. Frayed areas on straps. Rust and oxidization on metal hardware. Original foam shoulder pads have been removed from inside of straps leaving some residue. Various holes in canvas, notably a penny sized hole on bottom left of main compartment, a penny sized tear where the left flap closure strap connects to bag body, and a 2.5" hole in the right exterior pocket.
